WCPFC Members and Observers
The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) brings together countries and organisations that manage and conserve tuna and other highly migratory fish stocks in our region.
Key terms
- CCMs (Contracting Coastal Members): The general term for all Members, Participating Territories and Cooperating Non-Members.
- Member: A country or organisation that has formally joined the Commission.
- Participating Territory: A territory linked to a Member that participates in the Commission’s work.
- CNMs (Cooperating Non-Members): States that cooperate with the Commission but are not full Members.
- Observer: A State or organisation invited to attend meetings and follow discussions without full decision-making rights.
